Adrian Redesign
I wanted to redesign the character Adrian from my freshman film, "Adrian." This included his older brother and sister Billy and Valerie. Billy is a total slacker who hopes to be the lead guitarist of a death metal band. Valerie is the perfect daughter of Beelzebub. She would destroy the world if her father wishes her to. Unfortunately she has no such destiny, but that doesn't stop her from positioning herself in the world for when the time comes. Adrian is the offspring and also the most powerful of them all. He has no desire to hurt anyone or do his father's bidding, but he tries to please keep out of the spotlight. He has no idea what his father has planned for him in regards to the Apocalypse.

Self-portrait
When I ask people what they think of me, generally, they say I am always working or seem have something to do. There may be some truth to that. Another question revolving around this image is, "am I on the computer too much?" I answer that question with this; I still draw on paper, I am responsible for things that fall outside the cyber realm, and I see the sunlight everyday.

Lines and Portraits
This is a selection of my life drawing work at CalArts over the last semester (Fall 09, Drawing from Real to Reel with Jon Gomez). I mostly used charcoal, with a little pastel pencil here and there. I had a lot of fun along with some frustration. Overall I am pleased with the outcome and I hope you enjoy looking at these characters as much as I enjoyed drawing them.
